Thea Monk asked: It is hard to imagine how modern society would cope without using plastic cards in everyday life. Most adults these days use a plastic card at least once a day, whether it is a membership card for the gym, payment with a credit card, a loyalty card in retails shops – the list goes on. Technological advances in plastic cards have not only meant that the uses of them have become broader, but have also brought environmental benefits as customers can now re-use their plastic cards instead of throwing them away. O2 is a leading provider of mobile services and have taken advantage of the benefits of using plastic cards with their customers. O2 offer communications solutions to customers and corporates in the UK and Ireland. They also have integrated fixed / mobile businesses in Germany, the Czech Republic (Telefónica O2 Czech Republic) and the Isle of Man (Manx Telecom). In addition, O2 has established the Tesco Mobile and Tchibo Mobilfunk joint venture businesses in the UK and Germany respectively. O2 also owns Airwave O2, which supplies secure digital communications to the emergency services and other public safety organisations. PCC has been a supplier of top-up cards to O2 for many years. John Ashcroft, PCC’s strategic client director, explains "The pre-paid client base has been an important part of O2’s growth in the UK mobile market. The top-up card has been a key media driving the pre-paid revenues for O2". Initially, board based scratch-cards were used as the key media to top-up mobile phones. The cards were individually printed with a code, which was then covered by a scratch panel. Each card was then individually wrapped, with cards either flow-wrapped in links, or wrapped in collated packs. PCC produced many millions of these cards for O2 during this period, and continue to do so for other mobile operators around the world. As the British mobile market evolved, the use of scratch cards reached an all-time high. It was then that O2 took the decision to start using reusable plastic cards, in an effort to reduce costs and benefit the environment. Michael Williamson of O2 explains "The board scratch cards were thrown away after each use. The evolution of technology allowed O2 to introduce plastic e top-up cards, which are kept by the customer and reused each time a phone top-up is initiated. As well as facilitating cost reduction for the business, the plastic card means that O2 has a constant brand presence in the customer’s wallet". Each plastic top-up card is personalised with a unique number, which in turn is linked to a mobile phone when used for the first time. Variants of the cards have been distributed with new mobile phones, through retail outlets and post offices and individually to clients throughout the UK. PCC has produced over 100 million of these cards, which have been a huge success for O2. "The card has become a vital part of the top-up process, providing the direct link between the customer and the network" said John Ashcroft. "Product quality is key - each card directly represents O2 in the eyes of their customers. There is no compromise where quality and accuracy is concerned". PCC continues to be a key card partner for O2. Michael Williamson continues "PCC continues to offers the product and service levels that a household name like O2 requires. "

mom2havenandlace asked: My two shelties have recently started itcing like crazy since we moved in to our new place. I've seen ONE flea and trust me we've searched so I really honestly don't think it's a flea allergy. I am sure there is more fleas but this is something else I am posotive of it. One dog seems to bite at her back more than anything and the other one seems to itch her belly. They both have scratches all over their belly from this and a patch of missing hair onthe ones back. I called the vet and they suggested I try benadryl first. It helps but isn't helping enough. I have an appointment for the vet but am not financially set right now to spend as much money as she said it would cost just to start testing and the shot they give them is $30 some dollars each. I don't have credit cards so that wont help. I would like to try to find something as a trial and error and see if it helps before I spend all the money at the vet. I have one week before their vet visit to try something. Any suggestion? I gave my two girls a oatmeal bath today and made sure to get all the shampoo out and suprisingly it made them itch even worse. So I went to a local pet store and tried buying a spray called Anti Itch Spary by Pet Relief. It was a shot in the dark but suprisingly it seems to be working. They are itcing only about 5% of the time now and it seems to be more of the usual itch dogs do now and then. I am starting to think more and more it's hot spots due to the heat as we now live in a trailer where as we used to live in a house. This Trailer isn't as cool as our house was. I'll keep trying this and talk to the vet later next week near my appointment date. Thanks everyone. PS - it's not mange, I have seen mange, this isn't that.

James J asked: About a year ago here in the UK, Burger King ran a promotion where one could win various prizes from a scratchcard they distributed with Whopper Burgers. Promotional materials said 'No Purchase Necessary' and so I visited one branch and asked for a No Purchase Necessary entry, but the Manager refused and told me to leave, saying that he would only give me a scratchcard if I purchased a burger. I pointed out that it said clearly on the advertising in the restaurant that it was a No Purchase necessary competition. But he said he didn't care. Was this illegal and what should I have done??

EleNa Almakleh asked: I am 17 and a half years old Have a 25 year old boyfriend We have been together for 8 months now I met him 3 years ago and we went out together for about 2 months but didn't work out. Then in 2007, we came together again after years of not talking to each other at all and we seem completely comfortable with eachother since we knew each other before. Him and I knew things wouldn't work out 3 years ago and so we didn't take things seriously, but thing today are much different. I feel he really loves me, he does A LOT of things to show he loves me. I moved in with him 4 months ago, we were fine the 1st month, and then got into a lot of problems the 2nd and third, but this month is going pretty well after calming down and getting to really know how eachother are. So is it fine that him and I are staying together besides the fact of age because my parents know a little about this? I live with my boyfriend, his brother, and his sister. They are arabian muslims and I have always had a thing for my boyfriend. I converted to islam/muslim religion. Also, I always have seen age as just a number but 50yr old with 19 or 20 yr old is just nasty. Do you think my boyfriend really loves me? We make love until we both "finish" We kiss and hug passionately like there's no tomorrow He buys me clothes, food, takes me any where I want to go, laughs and jokes with me, pays for my tmobile phone bill, takes me with him to his work, lets me check his phone whenever I want, stopped going on myspace a long time ago, listens to me when I ask him to not use his phone when with me,stop eating ghat, stop buying scratchcards(I told him 2x before but found it in his pocket and he swore this time seriously on allah and quran no more), and a whole lot more.
