I used to play traditional scratch off scratch cards. True I used to enjoy playing, but I got fed up with winning only small amounts. Yes it was nice to win £1 here or £2 there, but it was only very rarely that I won anything bigger than that. So when a friend told me about online scratch cards, I decided to take a look and it was something of a revelation I can tell you.

At first I was a little nervous; I had never played online scratch cards and really wasn’t sure how it would be different from the standard scratch cards. I decided that it made sense to play for free for a bit, so I got myself some free scratch cards and had a few plays. I really enjoyed it, but somehow playing for free isn’t the same as playing with real money. You don’t get the buzz that you do when you know that you really could win and you could win big. For me that is what it is all about. I love that adrenaline rush, those few seconds that you get when you wonder if your life is about to change, then the feeling that you get to see that you have won, maybe not a huge jackpot, but enough to make you feel like a million dollars, even if you don’t have a million dollars!

Online scratch cards are also really flexible. Sometimes if I have been up with the kids during the night, I just want a bit of me time and I log onto the internet, play a few scratch cards, then my mind is switched off from anything that is worrying me and I just go to bed relaxed.

Some of my friends play scratchcards at each other’s houses, so it is a fun thing. You bring your laptop (and a bottle of wine). You play a scratch card or two, share some gossip and a little wine and there is a real party atmosphere, so playing a scratch card game is not something that you have to do when alone; the choice is yours!

Scratchcards Are About More Than Winning!

OK it is fabulous to win with scratchcards and that is why so many people love them and why there are so many scratch card sites. But although it is great to tell your friends and family about all the times that you have won, I think the online communities, forums and sense of fun on the sites are what make online scratch cards such tremendous fun; I really enjoy the playing, as well as the winning!
